Our players came out of the gate ready to play. We had a good first game, a tight hard fought close second game and a third game we used as a learning game of our team focus. we made the semi's and came back to the rink on Sunday morning ready to show how we can work as a team and what that result will look like. With another hard fought exciting game we came away with the win advancing the team to the finals. We had a rest period where the team got their feet back under them and showed up with another excellent game in the Finals. We came away with the win and the first medals/trophy of the season. Great tournament for the players and a great team building weekend for all. Great Job Jets.

Another great weekend tournament for the team as they played 3 challenging games against some good competition and got the bounces going our way for most of the weekend. We travelled through some good old fashioned winter weather on Saturday to come away with the win vs. St. Mary's and unfortunately due to the roads being closed we did not get to face Kincardine who had to forfeit the game. We returned on Sunday morning ready to play Dresden who gave us another good challenge. We came away with the 7 - 1 win in a close physical game. We made it to the finals where we played Dresden again but it was a much different game this time around. We were tied after the first period and trailed 1 -0 after the second. We had a good team meeting at the bench in the intermission and the kids came out all fired up. We scored the equalizer goal four and a half minutes into the third and another one five minutes into the third. we scored again six and a half minutes into the third for the two goal lead. The team was fired up. Dresden scored another goal at ten and a half minutes into the third to get within 1. We rebounded with another goal at the twelve minute mark to restore the two goal lead only to watch Dresden score ten seconds later. We scored the final goal of the game twenty seconds later on a scramble in the hash marks with a seeing eye puck. From there on we played a tight man to man game and didn't let Dresden into the danger zones but only to the outsides. Another great tournament for the team and another great team win!.

Once again our U13 boys came ready to play. They were challenged in every game of the round robin and rose to the occasion. They made it to the semis and played a hard fought game against Wallaceburg and came out on top.The boys made it to the finals and finally ran out of gas. They fought hard but came up short in the finals against Lambton Shores. Our team finished the tournament with the finalist accomplishments. Proud of how our team came out from the drop of the puck in the first game to the final whistle in the finals.
