RED Control Update
Submitted By Mike Harding on Saturday, December 12, 2020
On December 11, 2020, the Province announced Middlesex-London will be moving to the red/control level in their COVID-19 response framework and the Municipality of Middlesex Centre has been mandated to adjust facility use guidelines for Komoka and Ilderton to meet these new expectations.

Members of the Board of Directors met earlier this week to review the potential impact that these changes would have on the continued delivery of our programs.   Our decision at this point is to suspend all hockey operations effective Monday, December 14th 2020 at 12:01am.

This has proven to be one of the most difficult decisions that we have had to make as a Board given the positive feedback we have heard from the coaches, parents and players who have delivered, observed and participated in our programs at all age levels.

Since the early summer, IMHA has been working to provide a safe and fun hockey program within the mandated restrictions that also allows for skill development and game play if and when possible.  We will continue to work towards these goals during this pause.

Ilderton Minor Hockey Association will actively monitor opportunities to resume programming when our region returns back to orange/control level in the New Year.

We appreciate your continued understanding and support.
