REMINDER: IMHA Team Rostered Trainers (OMHA, OWHA)
Submitted By Exec Posting on Sunday, September 29, 2019
All team rostered trainers or assistant trainers in the organization are encouraged to attend the information session and ACTION Clinic being held next weekend at the Ilderton Community Centre, Sunday, October 6th - 1:30 pm - 5:00 pm.  IMHA will need confirm the total number of trainers that will be attending from within our organization by 10:00 am, Wednesday, October 2nd, 2019.

To confirm your spot to participate in this program, send an email to our Head Trainer, Marty Dudgeon, [email protected], including full contact details, HCTP certification number (if issued or known) and your team affiliation.

Marty will begin the session by providing an overview of the new established role of Head Trainer and detail his expectations for all team-rostered trainers starting at 1:30 PM.  Tony Carravaggio, Chair of the Trainers Program for OMHA, will then guide team rostered trainers through the ACTION Clinic.

ACTION Clinics are interactive scenario-based learning experiences that better prepare trainers for their important role.  What is an effective Emergency Action Plan (EAP)?   How do you identify when a serious injury has occurred?    What are the true signs of a concussion?  When is it okay to Return to Play?  All questions you must be able to answer with confidence.
