IMHA Head Trainer - Marty Dudgeon
Marty Dudgeon has accepted
the newly established role of Head Trainer for the Ilderton Minor Hockey
Association (IMHA). Marty is a practicing Athletic Therapist living in
Ilderton with a background and experience supporting professional athletes in his prior roles with the Toronto Blue Jays, Vancouver Canucks and the Toronto Maple
Leafs. Prior to his involvement in MLB and the NHL, he guided the development and delivery of content used to certify
bench staff as trainers under the Hockey Canada Trainers Program
(HCTP). One of his many passions is concussion awareness, management and
treatment. He has some great ideas on how we as an organization can
comply with the legislated requirements of Rowan’s Law.
Marty will serve as the “go-to” person for the Board for safety and risk management related matters and as a resource/advisor/advocate for HTCP-certified bench staff.
Stay tuned for further updates on the development of this role moving forward. Any safety or risk management related issues, questions or concerns can be directed to
[email protected].
