We have just been informed that the Criminal Background Check from Triton, that comes with a cost of $60.00, is
NOT accepted by OHF.
It was our understanding that this was an acceptable, faster route for achieving the "green" approved status on your HCR profile, however it is not. It can't be a Criminal Background Check, it
MUST be a Vulnerable Sector Check.
We apologize for the misunderstanding, and share in your frustration.
Everyone who volunteers with an Ilderton Minor Hockey team,
MUST have a valid
Vulnerable Sector Check completed through the OPP. It is free to attain, however the wait is long at the present moment. So we need
EVERYONE to apply for it if you have not already done so.
If you
HAVE already applied for the VSC through opp.ca, then please make sure you have uploaded the pdf copy to OHF, or follow the instructions below once you receive your receipt.
Online OPP Vulnerable Sector Check
Once you have applied for your VSC through opp.ca you can use the receipt that is sent to you, save it as a pdf file on your computer, and upload it to OHF. It will be marked as "pending" on your profile, which should allow us to roster you to a team, and should allow you to be on the bench until you receive your VSC and can upload it to OHF.
You will need to have your HCR login information, as well as your HCR #, which can be found on your profile.

The Vulnerable Sector Check letter attached below, can be used for your Vulnerable Sector Check.

This is a
NEW process this year, and there are definitely kinks that are being worked out. We really appreciate your understanding and patience as we work through this.
Please keep in mind that everyone on a bench or helping on the ice must have their up to date qualifications, and a current VSC to be able to be rostered to a team. This is
NOT optional.
No games can be played without an approved roster.

Once again, we apologize for the frustration and inconvenience.
Thank you!
