Novice Girls B, 2016-2017 (Ilderton Jets)

Ilderton Jets Girls Novice B team takes on Mitchell Tuesday night at 7pm in Komoka! We have had two great games so far this series and the third and final game to decide the league Championship will be a doozy as well. These are two highly talented teams squaring off in one final showdown to crown the Western Ontario Girls Hockey League Novice Girls Championship Team. Both teams are deserving of this title and have played extremely close games all season. Come out Tuesday night to support the girls in their quest for the title.  

CONGRATULATIONS GIRLS!!!!!! After a slow start in the provincial play down qualifying series losing 3-1 at home to the Woodstock Wildcats, the Jets were able to battle back and finish a closely matched series with a do or die victory in Woodstock today. Hats off to the Woodstock Wildcats for a hard fought series that went the distance. I can't say enough how evenly matched these two teams were throughout the series. Great Job Girls! What a great finish to the regular season. These girls have played amazing all season and have been rewarded by finishing first overall for all Novice girls teams in WOGHL. We are looking forward to an exciting round robin playoff with the top four teams. We are also excited to have been playing so well that the OWHA has decided to move us up a level to compete in provincial playdowns at the "B" level. We will play the Woodstock Wildcats in a first to four point series, starting this Thursday night in Ilderton. Lets keep on rolling girls! Go Jets Go!!!

Well, after a successful weekend on the ice we have wrapped up the first half of the season undefeated. It has been a very impressive 8-0-0 start if we count our two exhibition games. There is a scheduling meeting this Wednesday that Alisa will be attending to determine the schedule for the remainder of the season. Lets keep up the great work and continue to be better at each and every practice and game throughout the season. Coach Matt

Hey Everyone, I would like to throw out to everyone that we are in need of a couple positions to be filled on the team. I have a volunteer already for the jersey rep, thanks Steph Isabel! I will also require a female parent to be available to be on the bench. The position would require you to complete your level 1 trainer through an on-line course, which will be compensated through the organization. There will also be fundraising credits available for this position. Let me know if you are interested in being part of the action this year on the bench.
