Head Trainer Position for IMHA

The Board is accepting expressions of interest for the role of Head Trainer for Ilderton Minor Hockey Association.  The Head Trainer will be the “go to” person providing guidance and oversight for safety and risk management program and initiatives of the OMHA, OWHA and the local association. 

This is a volunteer non-Board position reporting to the Executive.   The individual appointed to this role will be provided with a Family Bond and be relieved of all fundraising obligations for the 2019-2020 season.    

Responsibilities will include providing local guidance, training, mentorship and leadership for HTCP certified and team rostered Trainers, establishment of facility Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) in consultation with municipal staff, sharing of information and documentation with regional safety leaders and providing oversight for our implementation of Rowans Law and other mandated player safety and risk management related programs and initiatives.

The individual appointed to the role of Head Trainer must maintain their HTCP certification, have at least two years prior hockey experience serving as a Trainer, be committed to promoting player safety and to the provision of timely responses to any questions or concerns.
