Novice HL Blue Earn Silver Medal at John Henry!
Our McMaster Chevrolet Olds Buick GMC Novice LM Blue Team participated in the 44th Annual John Henry Memorial Tournament this past week at the Gemini Sportsplex in Strathroy (December 27-29 2016).
Our Ilderton Jets showed up to play winning all three games and finished top in B Division to earn a spot in the A Division Finals against an undefeated team from Mt Brydges that dominated all prior opponents with 25 goals for and only 3 against.
Our team strategy of sticking to our position, moving the puck up the ice and following our shot to the net served us well as the championship remained within reach trailing by one goal going into the 3rd Period. Our fans were excited.
The coaching staff could not be prouder of the discipline, effort and determination exhibited by our team in earning the Silver Medal. We look forward to continuing to work hard and have fun with this great bunch of kids!
