Determined Ice Dogs oust Jets from OMHA Semis ....
The Ilderton PeeWee AE Jets season came to a crashing end
as the BCH Ice Dogs scored 2 minutes into overtime
giving them a 3-2 win and the series 3 games to 1.
The Ilderton arena was buzzing with anticipation,
as fans for both teams were hoping for victory.
The Jets once again built up a 2-0 lead only to have the Dogs
claw there way back into it. They tied the game up after
the Jets were called for a cheap interference penalty
late in the 3rd period. James Markovic and Carson Queenan were the
goal scorers with Neil Collver assisting on both.
Both teams were very evenly matched,
resulting in an exciting series.
Our boys enjoyed a fine season.
We finished with an overall 22-21-4 record playing in the
historically strong Shamrock league.
We would like to thank the parents for getting the boys
to the rink and ready to play their hearts out every game.
Also to Noah Smith, Robert Nightengale and Ethan McCormick
for running the score clock and game sheet.
Up next we are off to Lincoln at the end of March
for a year end tournament.
