John Henry Tournament
Bringing Home the Gold!
Well done boys, we had a great first game defeating the Strathroy Black 10-2 there was a great effort from all, we then moved on to play Strathroy grey, which we played a tough game against them and pulled off the victory 3-2,we then moved on to play Strathroy Grey again... this was a tough game Lucas put us on the board first but then Strathroy grey was quick to get on the board and take the lead, we held our own in the second period but in the third we couldn't buy a goal, we kept the pressure on until 1:24 left in the third when Jack took charge and popped in the tying goal, finishing the game in a tie...so into overtime we go, playing 3 on 3 it was a tough go, but we kept the pressure on until Adam managed to sneak one past the goalie giving us the win....!.....so we won our division....awesome Job! we received a trophy and a gold medal.
So onto play for tournament Championship.....we play Tillsonburgh....this is a tough team they have been undefeated for there season.....can we beat them?
This was a fast paced game but with a some excellent coaching and great Goal tending from Mr Cam Currie we were able to shut them down and pulling off a 3-1 victory.....Awesome job from all kids and for all they great support from the coaching staff.
I know all the parents enjoyed watching each and every nail biting game....congratulations Novice Blue....!
